PROJECT OVERVIEW

Westlink managed the full end-to-end logistics management for the delivery of new iron ore cars from Dalian, China to landing on track and commissioning in Port Hedland, Western Australia.

SCOPE

  • Pre-shipment quarantine inspection and factory completion of ore cars in China

  • Multipurpose Vessel (MPP) – Dalian, China to Port Hedland, Australia

  • Haulage – from vessel hook to Customer’s Port Hedland Rail Yard

  • Craneage – lifting and landing of ore cars from trailers to rail head

  • Commissioning – shunting, coupler and brake system attachments
